Frog Prince's new look

This is FP sporting his new pair of glasses.  When he went for his five year check up, the doctor suggested that we might want to take him to get his eyes checked.  He'd squinted slightly when he was getting his eyes tested, so he thought it might be a good idea before he started school to get them looked out. Turns out he can barely see out of his right eye... it should get better over time with his glasses, but for the last five years he's had really messed up eye sight.

I, personally, think he looks pretty cute and really mature/cool with them on. I just need to learn how to photograph him, so that he doesn't have those terrible reflections in every picture. If any of my photo savvy friends (coughbricough) know how to manage this, just let me know.

VERY mature/cool, Roberto!!

Tips from my dad, a) don't use flash if you can avoid it, b) where possible, bounce the flash off the ceiling instead of head-on.

Glasses are definitely cool. Lilly was excited to see him at church with his new glasses!

From what little I know of photography, I'd agree with your Dad C -- avoid flash.

Here's another option: http://www.digitalpixels.net/2009/02/lighting/photographing-people-wearing-glasses-dealing-with-reflections/
(Work around your light source)

Have I helped at all??

Did I seriously miss this post? Why did I miss this post!?!? I'll chalk it up to the fact that I'm a moronic little space cadet this year so far. Sorry! How embarrassing... there was even a direct (though cough-muffled) shout out to me!

Allanna's advice is sound. Try to position your flash at an angle at least. Light coming in on an angle reduces glare from the lenses. I'm sorry I'm a slacker blog reader... I'll repent.
